Depriving myself of having you close
In attempt to stop you
I watch you walk away
I recall when you once taught me how to fight
Fight when fragile?
Perhaps not, when love is no more on the menu
So, I will watch you walk away
Yes, I have battled with life
But never have I fought for love
Being taught to let things be
I watch you walk away
It sounds absurd, I know
It hurts so much, I feel it
It brings memories, I recall
But I will still watch you walk away
Perhaps it’s for the best
For each to go separate ways
Should our paths cross again, call it fate
If not, watch me walk away
Let fate decide
But allow destiny to judge the love we shared
With a teary eye,
I will watch you walk away
My heart signals, it’s time to let go
It’s a lost love already
No one fights against love
But if it’s meant to be, it will surely be
